In 1997 GlobalStage.com began as a company that was all about music and musicians. As an enhancement of our graphic design and CD manufacturing company, Big Dreams Studio, GlobalStage.com was developed as a simple way to promote "local music" on a global scale. This way, not only was CD manufacturing and studio quality digital music editing available to the home grown musician without a music company's backing, but so was self-promotion of the artist's music.
Some made it and some didn’t. Actually, most didn’t. One made it pretty big though. Big Dreams Studio made the first CDs ("Blue"), the original logo design, and GlobalStage.com made the website for the band Chevelle, now on Sony/Epic Records.
As a matter of fact, most band didn’t have any money so GlobalStage.com went on a long hiatus. A very long hiatus. With the specific desire to make some money that I put into GlobalStage.com, I spend several years and tons of learnin' about technology and the web, I’m finally using the Internet for what it was invented for ... making money.
This page is dedicated to all the "old" GlobalStage.com clients dating from 1997-1999. Some are still functioning as "local bands," and some have either gone solo, started new bands, gone into other careers, or just given it up. I hope if anyone is still around they'll contact me with an update. If you see them say hi for me!
By the end of GlobalStage.com's original run, I realized that musicians didn't have a load of money so I expanded into creating pages for businesses. I grouped the businesses separately from the musicians.
